A New Location- A Place in the Country

Some of you who visited us recall our location in the historic district of Peoria, Illinois. You may have visited us at an event with a handful of people, or one with hundreds. We did many of both kinds. The time came for a change, and we couldn't be more delighted with the 2/3 acre property we found that backs up to 10 acres of forested horse pasture just to the north of Peoria. We spend time staring out over the land with a cup of coffee, rejoicing in the sounds of wildlife.

Once again, I have a sunroom as I did during the years we lived in Florida. The perfectly even light in the new studio is something I hoped I'd work in again, and I am ready to stretch some canvases even this week. The room was a landing place for all the paintings still wrapped after returning from a previous exhibit. 

Some we cannot hang here as they are intended for large public spaces, but many have found themselves a wall on which to hang.

I would be interested to hear your observations, if you see a change in the paintings that will be produced from this location. I know from past experience how much impact a bright and quiet place can have on the quality of a painting. I intend on painting many from here, large and small. 

We look forward to our first open studio and reception, which will likely be during the first week of December, which has been our tradition. We hope you can visit and see my work in person before then, but if not, come celebrate with us in December.
